Frequently Asked Questions

How do I join FOMG?

Membership develops through invitation, peer nomination, or by expressing interest on our website. If you’ve found us, it’s likely that someone in our community believes you align with our values. Share how your expertise serves families and your record of excellence. Applications for our Founding Member window open in October 2025 and close in January 2026.

Who should express interest?

We welcome accomplished domain experts who serve families at the highest level; established families seeking to enhance their network of trusted advisors; next-generation family members exploring purpose and stewardship; and family office professionals committed to excellence and integrity.

What makes FOMG different for domain experts?

We recognize domain experts as essential partners in family flourishing — not simply service providers. FOMG celebrates your expertise, facilitates meaningful introductions, and provides trusted platforms to share your knowledge while maintaining a relationship-first culture.

What does "peer-verified" mean?

Each member undergoes a discreet verification process that includes background and reference checks, peer endorsements, and confirmation of values alignment. This process affirms excellence, integrity, and trust — the standards that define FOMG.

What membership tiers are available?

FOMG currently offers one exclusive membership path: the Verified Professional Member. This level provides full engagement through in-person symposiums, curated introductions, educational programming, and inclusion in our private member directory.

(Future specialized forums may be introduced at a later stage.)

What expertise is represented?

Our verified members include security specialists, legal and accounting advisors, philanthropic consultants, architects, designers, owners’ representatives, family dynamics facilitators, wellness experts, education consultants, art advisors, travel curators, foundation managers, and other trusted professionals serving families at the highest level.

What happens in symposiums?

FOMG gatherings host approximately 36 guests, seated at intimate tables of 6–8 to foster meaningful dialogue. Domain experts share insights while exploring real-world family challenges and opportunities. Topics have included philanthropy strategy, art collection management, family security, wellness, and lifestyle optimization. These sessions often lead to peer referrals and long-term collaboration.

How does FOMG support professional growth?

Through strategic introductions to family offices and complementary experts, peer referrals across disciplines, speaking opportunities that build visibility, and a verified credential that signals integrity and excellence. Our relationship-driven culture creates authentic business development through trust, not transactions.

What's the ROI for domain experts?

Members consistently report that introductions made through FOMG lead to their most meaningful and enduring client relationships. The return lies in credibility, visibility, and alignment — accelerating trust with families and peers who value excellence.

Is FOMG focused on wealth management?

No. FOMG centers on family purpose and flourishing, not portfolio performance. We focus on the human and relational dimensions of legacy — the areas where domain experts make their greatest impact.

What's the time commitment?

FOMG offers flexible engagement: monthly virtual webinars, in-person symposiums, and special offsite experiences. Domain experts choose their level of participation. Most find that attending 4-6 events annually provides strong value through connections made. Every gathering is designed for depth, connection, and genuine value.

What role does Philanthropy play?

As a community of abundance, we actively support one another’s charitable initiatives. Members often attend philanthropic events together, collaborate on giving strategies, and create opportunities for shared impact.

When is the founding member window?

Applications open October 2025 and close January 2026. Our official launch celebration will take place in March 2026 in the San Francisco Bay Area. Afterward, membership will be by referral only.
