Longevity and Lifestyle Medicine

Tuesday, October 27th, 2026 | 5:00 - 7:00 PM PT
Sausalito, CA

The Family Office Mastermind Group (FOMG) invites you to an evening with Dr. Dean Ornish in Sausalito, at a waterfront property with outstanding views of the Richardson Bay and the Pelican Yacht Harbor.

Dr. Ornish will talk about his decades of pioneering peer-reviewed research showing, for the first time, that lifestyle changes can often stop or even reverse the progression of heart disease, prostate cancer, and dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease as well as change gene expression and reverse cellular aging by lengthening telomeres.  Medicare created a new category to cover his program for reversing heart disease.

This is a rare opportunity to see Dr. Ornish and to ask your own questions before and after his talk.

The evening is co-hosted by Ken Dara, Stephen Pugh and Andrew Black of Engel & Völkers, together with FOMG co-founder Robert Landsness. Stephen and Andrew are also with Pacific West Group. Fellow FOMG co-founder Christopher West will also join us for the evening.

About Dr. Ornish

Dean Ornish, M.D., is known as “the father of lifestyle medicine.” He is founder/president of the non-profit Preventive Medicine Research Institute and Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCSF and at UCSD.  He completed an M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine, a clinical fellowship in medicine at Harvard Medical School and a medical residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. He earned a B.A. in humanities summa cum laude from University of Texas in Austin, where he gave the baccalaureate.

He directed randomized trials showing, for the first time, that his lifestyle medicine program—eat well, move more, stress less, love more—can often begin to reverse many of the most common and costly chronic diseases, without drugs or surgery. These include heart disease, type 2 diabetes, early-stage prostate cancer, and early-stage Alzheimer’s disease, beneficially changing gene expression and may improve cellular aging by lengthening telomeres. Medicare created a new benefit category to reimburse his program for reversing heart disease.

He is a #1 New York Times bestselling author of UnDo It! (co‑authored with Anne Ornish) and six other books, all national bestsellers.  He has been an advisor to three U.S. Presidents. The “Ornish diet” was rated “#1 for Heart Health” by a panel of experts at U.S. News & World Report for twelve years.  He co-chaired the Google Health Advisory Council 2007-9.

He received the 1994 Outstanding Young Alumnus Award from the University of Texas, Austin; the University of California, Berkeley, “National Public Health Hero” award; the Jan J. Kellermann Memorial Award for distinguished contribution in the field of cardiovascular disease prevention from the International Academy of Cardiology; a U.S. Surgeon General Citation; a Presidential Citation from the American Psychological Association; the inaugural “Lifetime Achievement Award” from the American College of Lifestyle Medicine; the inaugural “Lifestyle Medicine and Psychiatry” lifetime achievement award from the American Psychiatric Association; and many others.

Dr. Ornish was recognized as “one of the 125 most extraordinary University of Texas alumni in the past 125 years;” by TIME magazine as a “TIME 100 Innovator” and also as a “TIME 100 Most Influential Global Health Leader;” by LIFE magazine as “one of the fifty most influential members of his generation;” by People magazine as “one of the most interesting people of the year;” was a New Yorker cartoon and two Jeopardy answers; and by Forbes magazine as “one of the world’s seven most powerful teachers.”
